Motorized Operation:
Your new Sundance Louvered Roof is motorized and has been equipped and preset with factory limit switches. These settings will allow you to open and close your louvers to any position at the touch of a button, without the worry of opening or closing too far.
The system uses a remote control transmitter to operate the louvers. Pressing the up button will open the louvers, pressing down will close the louvers, and to stop the louvers in the desired position, simply press the stop (middle) button. If the louvers do not fully open or close, or once open the motor continues to run, STOP THE LOUVERS!!!! Call your dealer for assistance.
Your hand-held transmitter is battery operated and replacement batteries are available at most electronic retail stores.
****Be careful operating the system in cold temperatures, especially if there has been any moisture in the air: rain, snow, freezing rain, sleet, dew, etc. The moisture will potentially freeze, and the motor is not designed or strong enough to open the system once the louvers have frozen. If there is moisture, etc., and there is the potential for the moisture to freeze, please do not operate the system until the temperatures warm up.
Clean the awning every other month with water. Use a regular garden hose and spray the roller tube where the top of the fabric rolls up.
If there happens to be a spot, say from a bird, only use mild, diluted Dawn dish detergent or natural soap and water to clean it off.
Here are a few awning quick tips to keep your product at 100%:
-Do not overtighten the awning when taking it in, or bringing it out.
-The awning may be used in a very light rain. Please watch for heavy winds and rain. The awning is not meant to be out in inclement weather.
-DO NOT leave your awning out unattended. Especially in TN, straight line winds can appear from no where and damage your unit.
-Hand Crank/Motor, only use the hand crank if the motor is unplugged.
